The City of Brussels' “Prêterie Project” makes renting various objects at a low cost possible for its inhabitants. Thanks to this service, the purchase of an object used only once or twice a year can be avoided. These objects often become waste in the long term, and are also a waste of resources and money.
To carry out this project, the City of Brussels teamed up with the Brussels cooperative Usitoo, and this starting from 01 January 2022.
Different types of objects will be available for rent: cleaning equipment, DIY tools, travel equipment, objects used for small events, etc. A discount code of 25% will be offered to the inhabitants of the City and a code of 50% to the associations and people who are registered at the CPAS/OCMW (social welfare office) of the City.
